San Francisco’s annual Bring Your Own Big Wheel event took place yesterday in my neck of the urban woods. Here’s a quick video I shot of the action before straddling a pink Barbie Extreme Cycle for a couple heats (thanks Ali!). Scott has the usual assortment of awesome pix and links over at his blog.
This was a fun one. Kevin Olson and Chris Abad invited Irina and I to stop by the 20 goto 10 gallery for the opening of their ANSI art show.
A container ship hit the San Francisco Bay Bridge last week and released 58,000 gallons of crude bunker oil into the bay. I took a walk along Ocean Beach, which is on the Pacific Ocean side of San Francisco, to see if I could find anything amiss. If anyone knows why the jelly fish are washing up, I’d love to hear about it. This was shot with the amazing and resilient Sanyo Xacti E1, which I love.
Chicken John, who is running for Mayor of San Francisco on an art and innovation platform, officially got himself on the ballot last Friday. On the way to turn in his paperwork and after scoping out his future office, Chicken ran into the current mayor himself, Gavin Newsom. Jeremy shot some video which I helped Chicken edit down into this nice piece.
